San Francisco’s City Attorney has sued fifteen SROs (single-room occupancy hotels) for illegal and unfair business practices, including failing to maintain the units in a habitable condition, refusing to abate code violations, and shuffling tenants from room to room to prevent them from gaining rights under the Rent Ordinance.
