Alex Merchant is an experienced tenant lawyer with expertise in actions for wrongful eviction, constructive eviction, landlord harassment, and failure to repair. Alex has been recognized as a Northern California “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers Magazine. He has helped secure millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for his clients.
Alex graduated from Stanford Law School, where he assisted tenants at the East Palo Alto Community Legal Services Housing Clinic. Alex then worked as a litigator at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he received a pro bono award for his representation of San Francisco tenants facing eviction. Alex is a volunteer counselor at the San Francisco Tenants Union.
