San Francisco Sheriff Paul Miyamoto announced that his office will not evict any tenants during the coronavirus lockdown. Evictions will be postponed for the indefinite future.
This action is in addition to Mayor Breed’s announcement of a moratorium on evictions for non-payment if the inability to pay is related to the coronavirus pandemic.
UPDATE: The San Francisco Superior Court has announced that: All actions of unlawful detainer cases, including trials, motions, discovery, and ex parte applications, with the exception of unlawful detainer cases resulting from violence, threats of violence, or health and safety issues, will be stayed for 90 days.
