Congratulations Richmond!!! Last night the Richmond City Council voted to adopt Rent Control. The council chambers were standing room only and supporters and opponents engaged in lively debate that went long into the night but ultimately tenants prevailed! Special thanks to the organization Tenants Together which helped lead the charge.

Landlords Pay for Evicting Tenants to AirBnB Their Homes
San Francisco landlords have settled a lawsuit from the City Attorney’s Office and have agreed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for evicting tenants in order to convert their homes into AirBnB rentals. This is becoming more and more common and is, and always has been, illegal.
